Tenerife is the most visited of the Canary Islands and is also the most populous, it enjoys a split climate, with different conditions between north and south. The north is humid and well vegetated, while the south is hotter, dryer and more arid. The most popular coastal resorts such as Playa de las Americas, Los Cristianos, Los Gigantes and Costa Adeje, are in the hotter south, with sunny, warm weather pretty much guaranteed right through the year.

Tenerife has two airports by which you can reach the island and also has ferry services to Santa Cruz de Tenerife in the north and Los Cristianos in the south.
