Birthplace of Saint Boniface in the 7th century, Crediton is a historic town in Mid Devon, important industries have been shoemaking, tanning, tin-plating and agriculture. Present day Crediton has a population of around 7,000. The impressive parish Church of the Holy Cross is a significant landmark in the town, and was the former cathedral of the Lord Bishop of Crediton.
