Detailed Street Map of London (Central) & Guide to the City
London Map: Interactive street map of London, England's huge capital city and one of the major cities of the world. Due to limited space this London map shows the City, and central areas of London, but as the map is interactive you can use the navigation buttons to zoom in and view a specific area, get a London city centre map, zoom out to view outlying areas of London and pan around to view whichever area of London that interests you.
By zooming out 2 steps (-) you will see the entire area surrounded by the M25, and one extra step will allow you to view adjoining counties such as Surrey, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, Essex, Kent and Sussex.
Among the main features shown on this London map, without using navigation, are the River Thames flowing through the centre, the large park areas, such as Hyde Park, Battersea Park, Regents Park and Clapham Common.
The London area is attracting much additional attraction as the 2012 Olympics are approaching. The Olympic Stadium has now been completed and is located in the Stratford area of East London.
London can of course be accessed by many routes, the main motorway access points are the M1, the M4, the M23, the M2, the M20, the M11 and the A1(M). The main airports are Heathrow and Gatwick, well supported by the City Airport, Luton and Stanstead. London also has a huge number of rail links for accessing cities around the UK, and the underground line for accessing places closer to the centre of the city.
