Grasmere Cumbria: Formerly part of the county of Westmorland, Grasmere is now in the county of Cumbria, and is a pretty village situated beside the lake of the same name (Grasmere Lake) in the heart of Lakeland, attracting thousands of visitors to this place which will forever be linked to poet William Wordsworth and his fellow "Lake Poets".

A great spot to choose if you are visiting the Lake District, Grasmere has a good choice of hotels, holiday cottages and accommodation which you can book for your stay there.

Grasmere is reached via the A591, between Thirlmere and Ambleside, it is a driving distance of 7 miles from Thirlmere, 4 miles from Ambleside, 12 miles from Keswick, 18 miles from Kendal, 48 miles from Carlisle, 96 miles from Liverpool and 280 miles from London. The nearest airports are Carlisle (56 miles) and Blackpool (70 miles).
